Bio

Tambeau Australian Stock Horses, situated 20 klms south of Tamworth at Duri, NSW, is home to ROYALLE SCOTCH N ICE the ASH National Yearling Champion 2007. ROYALLE SCOTCH N ICE was runner up Amateur horse/rider at the 2009 ASH National Futurity - Scone.

Owners Geordie and Joanne Akeroyd have always been involved with horses and commenced breeding Australian Stock Horses whilst living in East Gippsland, Victoria.

The name "Tambeau" is derived from the Tambo River, East Gippsland.

Royalle Scotch N Ice - Champion Led Stallion. 1st Hack Stallion, 1st Working Stallion, 5th Open Challenge

Bridie competed on Oscar in the 8-10 year old section. They had a ball!

 

Bridie and Bridies Destiny placed third in the led mare over 4 years 15hh & under. Jo and Velvet Tassa placed 5th. (yep Bridie beat Mum!)

Bridie Akeroyd has first go at Campdrafting

28th August 2011

Bridie turned 8 on 25th August and had her first go campdrafting on Kiana Oscar at the Tamworth practice day.

First foals due

August / September 2011

Our first foals for the season by Royalle Scotch N Ice are now due. Wungum Partnership has had the first foal for the season. A filly out of Wungum Melody.

 

Michaela Akeroyd - competes at ASH World Championships

May 9-15th 2011

Michaela Akeroyd - imported from Victoria (Geordies Niece) rode in her first show ever to place 6th in the Junior Handler 13-15 year old with Velvet Tassa and placed 6 in the flag race, 8th Barrel Race and 9th Bending Race with 21 year old Kiana Oscar.

 

ASH World Championship Show

9 - 15th May 2011 - AELEC Tamworth

Tambeau ASH Show team of Royalle Scotch N Ice, Velvet Tassa, Bridies Destiny, Tambeau Last Flight, Tambeau Whisky, Bowenfels Maggie and Kiana Oscar all competed over the 7 day long show with all horses coming home with prizes.

 

Salt Creek Campdraft - Victoria

26/27 March 2011
We travelled down to Vic with a truck load of horses for the Salt Creek Campdraft. Maggie finalled in both the Maiden and Novice - Top scoring going into the final with an 89. Velvet finalled in the ladies.

 

Toowoomba 15th Annual Select for the Future ASH Sale

12th March 2011
Tambeau Australian Stock Horses presented two broodmares for sale in foal and with foal at foot by Royalle Scotch N Ice. Tambeau Beautiful Girl and Tambeau Nadeva. Both mares have gone to really top Polo Cross homes in Queensland.

Gippsland Campdraft Association

July 2010
Royalle Scotch N Ice and Michael Hiscock take out Hi-Point Stallion at the Gippsland Campdraft Association Awards for 2009/2010.

 

ASH National Show - Warwick

31st July and 1st August 2010

Royalle Scotch N Ice - 1st Led Stallion 4-5 years. 4th Hack Stallion 4-5 years. 5th Campdraft section Open Challenge. 6th Overall Open Challenge. Tassa Velvet - 5th Led Filly 3 years. 2nd Hack Filly 3 years.

Northern Branch Hi-Point

February 2010

ROYALLE SCOTCH N ICE and Geordie have won the Hi-Point Senior Horse 2009 - Northern Branch ASH and Hi-Point Campdraft, Futurity, Maturity Horse 2009. He also came Runners Up to Chris Ware and Wungum Citizen in the Open Hack section. Well done to Lachie Ware winner of the Tambeau ASH Junior Challenge Horse with Wungum Jemma.

Campdrafting in Victoria

Summer 2009/2010

ROYALLE SCOTCH N ICE

  • Places 8th in Novice Memorial Draft at Trafalgar. Scoring 83 first round and 84 in final. 24 horses were taken into the final. This is his second ever real draft.
  • Yarram Campdraft - Scotch N Ice placed 5th in the Maiden draft on the weekend 9/10th January 2010 with and 88 and 80.
  • Sale Campdraft 16/17 January placed 3rd in Maiden Draft. With an 88 and 84.
  • Longwarry Campdraft 23/24 January placed 4th in Maiden Draft. With an 86 and 85. Camp scores have been averaging 21 and 22.

Well done to Michael Hiscock who has been campaigning him.

 

Horses Sold at Landmark

6th and 7th February 2010

TAMBEAU DRY TIMES and TAMBEAU SMOKIN GUN were successfully prepared and shown by Mat Oakley at the Landmark Sale. Great outcome from the sale of these two horses. Congratulations to the new owners. May they have many hours of enjoyment with them.

North West Branch Show

24th April 2010

Bridie on Bowenfels Maggie placed first in the under 7 best presented in ASH Uniform. Darci on Kiana Oscar placed third. Bridie placed first in girl rider led under 7 and Darci placed thrid. Darci then went to win the walking race on Oscar with Bridie second on Maggie. Bridie was third in the hack led and Darci fourth.
Bridie is 6 and Darci 4.

Far North Coast (NSW) Branch Show

13th and 14th March 2010 

Geordie and ROYALLE SCOTCH N ICE - 2nd overall in 4 year old Maturity. Placed 2nd in Campdraft section. Bridie riding Tess and Darci on Kiana Oscar placed second and third in their led ridden events. Well done girls.
